![]() ![]() I've got Valhalla Plate and the Waves Abbey Road Plates, and they have different characters and provide a different "fit" in a mix. Pretty much, though I do feel that plate reverb emulations (not recreations of digital reverb plate emulations, which is most "plate" reverb plugins) are a bit of a different breed. I guess I'm getting old because these amazing differences in VSTs, reverbs etc as of late just don't seem to make such a difference in actual mixing and music making, just give me a decent reverb or three and I'm good. I'm not getting it though, I have too many reverbs as it is. likely included to keep external dependencies down. ![]() If all plugins are this big then there is something from a platform/library perspective etc. Usually it's just resources, graphics etc.
